Tryon Equine Mobile offers comprehensive lameness exams and workups on the farm and at the Haul-In Facility at Noble Acres in Troutman, NC. We will examine each limb at rest and in motion under saddle if necessary. After exam, flexions are performed to better pinpoint the source of pain. We are also able to perform peripheral nerve blocks and intraarticular joint blocks before utilizing digital radiology and ultrasound to diagnose. Tryon Equine Mobile works closely with Tryon Equine Hospital to offer advanced diagnostics such as MRI.
After diagnosis, Tryon Equine Mobile offers shockwave therapy, IRAP, PRP, Intra articular Steroid Injections, Anicell injections, polyacrylamide (Arthrymid and Noltrex) articular injections, and therapeutic laser for treatment modalities.

Why Are Lameness Exams Important?
Lameness exams of horses can range from being a straight-forward single limb problem to a multi-limb problem. To diagnose the problem affecting only a single limb to a complex multi-limb problem requires several diagnostics to evaluate and treat. Veterinary exam findings and owner input is necessary to get a better understanding of the problem. Our veterinarians use a logical pattern of diagnostics to accurately diagnose the source of the pain and start the appropriate treatment. The owner’s role in the examination is to provide an accurate history of when the lameness began and how it has progressed, both prior to and after the initiation of treatment.
