Internship & Externship

Modified Six-month Internship

The Modified Six-month Internship at Tryon Equine Mobile is designed for a new graduate with a solid

equine background who is looking for extensive mentorship and hands-on skillset development during

the first six months of employment. This flexible internship allows the doctor to progress at their own

pace, which may include a longer or shorter internship duration with the support of a team willing to do

what is needed to make the intern a successful member of our practice.

Working side-by-side with our collaborative team, you will receive tailored guidance in preventative and

emergency care medicine, sports medicine, lameness evaluation, and field surgery.

Interested applicants are invited to apply for an externship to meet our team.

Tryon Equine Mobile is a vibrant, collaborative, mentorship-focused team with a passion for horses,

servicing a growing sport horse community in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Our practice has four

doctors, three veterinary assistants, and two administrative staff. We are a well-respected, multi-

generational, ambulatory practice with a devoted client base that includes beloved family pets to world-

class show horses. Sports medicine, lameness, field surgery, and preventative care cases are seen daily,

and we also offer alternative medicine such as chiropractic and acupuncture. In addition to a haul-in

facility in north Charlotte, we have two office locations strategically situated in the north and south to

support our doctors with restocking and accessing and processing lab work. Our state-of-the-art

equipment includes digital x-ray and ultrasound.
